Del 6 al 24 de julio, el campamento de verano de CCATE llenó 1246 W. Main Street cada mañana. Tres semanas, doce talleres al día, cuatro excursiones y una comunidad entera cuidando a sus niños y niñas.
From July 6 to 24, campers in grades 2–12 arrived at 9 a.m., opened the day in the Morning Family Circle, chose their tracks, ate lunch together, dropped everything to read for twenty minutes, and closed the afternoon in a second circle. Then they cleaned up. Every day.
- 3weeks, July 6–24
- 12tracks to choose from every day
- 4field trips across the region
- 2Family Circles a day, morning and afternoon
Las tres semanasWhat a camp day looked like
Mornings and afternoons were built from tracks taught by CCATE staff, interns, volunteer teachers from the community and partner organizations. Campers moved between the kitchen, the art room, the media room, the garden room, the Artivistas room, the youth library and the lawn.

ExcursionesField trips
Swimming at the Carver Center. A hike through the woods of Valley Forge National Historical Park, with a stop at the visitor center and the museum. A day at the Philadelphia Zoo. And a morning at the Philadelphia Museum of Art — the galleries first, then the famous steps, then a picnic in the shade.

Gracias. To every family that trusted us with their children this summer. To the CCATE staff and interns who planned each day, and to the high school volunteers who spent their vacation as counselors for the younger kids. To the volunteer teachers who brought cooking, crochet, herbalism, beading, theater and civic engagement into the building. And to our partners: CHOP, The Food Trust, the Carver Center, Valley Forge National Historical Park, the Philadelphia Zoo and the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
The 2026 camp was supported in part by a grant from the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. ¡Viva la comunidad!
